Code Green Networks Expands Integrated Email Encryption Capabilities by Signing OEM Agreement With Cisco's IronPort Business Unit

Alliance With IronPort Adds Additional Email Encryption Offering for Automating Compliance and Fulfilling Regulatory Requirements for Protecting Confidential and Personal Information

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - March 10, 2008) - Code Green Networks, a leading provider of data loss prevention (DLP) solutions for protecting customer data and safeguarding intellectual property, today announced a partnership with IronPort® Systems, a Cisco business unit and leading provider of enterprise spam, virus and spyware protection, to integrate IronPort PXE encryption technology into its CI-1500 and CI-750 content inspection appliances for small and mid-sized enterprises.

Unlike traditional data loss prevention products built for large organizations, the enterprise-class DLP capabilities, ease of use features and affordability of Code Green's appliances are tailored to fit the needs of smaller businesses with limited IT resources and minimal security expertise. By integrating the IronPort PXE encryption technology directly into the CI-1500 and CI-750 appliances, customers simply activate the feature through an intuitive policy wizard -- fully automating the encryption of personal information without purchasing or installing additional product(s).

In addition to the convenience, the powerful combination of DLP and email encryption enables customers to comply with recent FTC guidelines for protecting personal information and fulfilling HIPAA, SOX, GLB and other regulatory requirements involving auditable, policy-driven email encryption.

"Code Green has a deep understanding of their customer base, and our OEM partnership with them is a testament to the breadth of functionality they are building into their solutions and the value they are delivering to the SMB market," said Tom Gillis, Vice President of Marketing at IronPort, a Cisco business unit. "The seamless integration of IronPort's PXE encryption technology with Code Green's DLP capabilities appeals to a growing number of customers who are looking for one-stop protection and compliance."

"Email encryption and data loss prevention go hand in hand for companies facing many types of compliance issues where policy enforcement is required," said Sreekanth Ravi, founder, chairman and CEO of Code Green Networks. "We are very excited to now expand our encryption offerings and make Cisco's IronPort PXE encryption technology a key piece of this seamless and turnkey offering to our small and medium-size customers."

IronPort's sophisticated on-board email encryption enables organizations to set policies that automatically encrypt authorized data transmissions leaving the organization. When the Code Green Content Inspection Appliance detects an email containing personal data or other sensitive content, it can automatically encrypt the message to ensure it is securely sent through to the recipient. A log entry is then automatically generated providing an audit trail record for compliance purposes.

Integrated Data Loss Prevention + Email Encryption on a Single Appliance

This fully integrated approach to email encryption alongside DLP technology helps Code Green Networks customers realize several key advantages, including:

--  One solution to purchase, install, configure and manage;
-- Single policy for protecting personal data and encrypting it for
    authorized communications;
--  Automatic, consistent enforcement of data privacy policies;
-- Audit trail for logging each secure communication and recording its

The Code Green Networks Content Inspection Appliances reside at an organization's Internet gateway and deliver enterprise-class data protection to organizations with as few as 25 to as many as 5,000 network users for approximately one-third the cost of other data loss prevention products on the market today. The appliances monitor content flows on the corporate network, automatically enforcing data protection policies to log, alert, retain, block, encrypt or re-route transmissions across all popular Internet communications channels -- Email (SMTP), Web (HTTP / HTTPS), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), online tools such as Blogs and Wikis -- and all popular WebMail services including Google Gmail, MSN Hotmail, AOL Mail, Windows Live Mail and Yahoo!
