Cogeco Cable adds Fox News to its Ontario digital cable offering

MONTREAL, Jan. 18 - Cogeco Cable today announced the
addition of Fox News to its digital channel line-up in Ontario. Fox News, the
top-rated U.S. news channel, will be available to the majority of Cogeco
Digital Cable subscribers in the new "More Variety" Theme Pack.

Starting today, Cogeco Cable digital customers will be able to sample Fox
News for free for 90 days on channel 127.

"Cogeco Cable continues to provide its customers with new services that
respond to the increasing demand for more information and entertainment. Fox
News is in line with our constant search to answer this demand", said Mr. Ron
Perrotta, Vice President, Marketing and Sales at Cogeco Cable. "These days,
people expect to have access to a variety of sources of information and Cogeco
Cable wants to provide them with this variety. Cogeco Digital Cable
subscribers can now include Fox News as another source offering a different
perspective on world news and events."

In addition to Fox News, Cogeco Cable's new "More Variety" Theme Pack
will include GSN, BBC World, SexTV, Ecology Channel and Documentary Channel.
This theme pack can be selected in any of the popular Digital Select packages.
Subscribers to the Digital Select All package will automatically get Fox News
at no additional cost.


Cogeco Cable is the second largest cable operator in both Ontario and
Québec, and ranks fourth in Canada in terms of the number of basic service
customers it serves. Cogeco Cable provides about 1,319,000 revenue-generating
units to about 1,430,000 households passed within its service territory.
