Cogeco Cable Canada Reacts Positively to the CRTC's Decision on Let's Talk TV

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - March 19, 2015) - Cogeco Cable Canada ("Cogeco") responded positively today to the decision published by the CRTC relating to Let's Talk TV: A World of Choice. Cogeco appeared at the 2014 public hearings in the fall to share its position on the future of Canada's media broadcasting system and regulatory environment.

Overall, the decision announced today is in line with the positions shared by Cogeco during the public hearings, that is, to offer more choice and flexibility to Canadian consumers.

"As the second largest cable operator in Ontario and Québec and a trusted partner to our customers, Cogeco Cable Canada is pleased with the decision announced today," said Louise St-Pierre, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cogeco Cable Canada. "We strongly believe that the best and most effective way to satisfy the expectations of Canadian consumers is to continuously adapt and meet their needs. We feel the CRTC's decision reflects this belief and will further ensure Canadian consumers remain engaged in the Canadian broadcasting system," continued Mrs. St-Pierre.

Cogeco will immediately begin the work necessary to ensure its television services will be rendered in accordance with the regulations announced by the CRTC today, which is in the best interest of its customers.
