Cogeco Cable Digital Phone service now offered in Hamilton

MONTREAL, Nov. 8 2005 - Building on the popularity the service
has had with our customers in areas already served, Cogeco Cable launched
today its Digital Phone service in Hamilton.

Territories and clientele

Like the residents of Burlington, Oakville, Windsor and Kingston,
Ontario, and of Trois-Rivières, Drummondville and Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, the
majority of Hamilton residents will be able to enjoy this appealing offer,
starting today, whether or not they already subscribe to a Cogeco Cable
service. Service will be extended gradually to the rest of Hamilton city homes
and will continue to be rolled out to most cities in Cogeco Cable's
territories by the end of 2006.

A comprehensive and competitive offering

Cogeco Cable's unique and all-inclusive Digital Phone service package
includes unlimited calling - routed on Cogeco Cable's private network - in
Canada and the continental United States, five key calling features, as well
as basic operator assistance and information services.

Hamilton residents can now take advantage of this offer for as little as
$54.99 per month. The monthly rate for the Digital Phone service for
subscribers to Cogeco Cable's HSI or cable television service is $49.99.
Customers already subscribing to two Cogeco Cable services other than Digital
Phone service will only pay $44.99 a month for Digital Phone service. This
represents savings of up to 33% for a similar combination of phone services
offered by the incumbent telephone company in those cities. Furthermore,
customers will receive, during the introductory period, the first month of
service free and free installation by Cogeco Cable's professional technicians
(valued at $79.99). Plus, there are no hidden fees or contracts to sign.

The five key calling features included in the package are: Voice Mail,
Call Display, Call Waiting, Visual Call Waiting and Call Forwarding. The
package also includes Directory Assistance (411), Operator services (0),
Emergency Service (911) and Technical Support (611), as well as a battery to
ensure up to eight (8) hours of operation for the customer's modem in the
event of a power failure. Furthermore, customers can keep their existing phone
number, telephones, and outlets.

Cogeco Cable is the second largest cable operator in both Ontario and
Quebec, and ranks fourth in Canada in terms of the number of basic service
customers served. Cogeco Cable provides about 1,356,000 revenue-generating
units to approximately 1,449,000 households in its service territory. Through
its two-way broadband cable infrastructure, Cogeco Cable provides its
residential and commercial customers with analogue and digital video and audio
services, high-speed Internet access as well as digital telephony service.
Cogeco Cable's subordinate voting shares are listed on the Toronto Stock
Exchange (CCA.SV).
