Cogeco Cable teams with TELUS and Cisco to deliver Residential Digital Phone Service

MONTREAL, Feb. 21 - Cogeco Cable today announced two
strategic suppliers who will provide services and technology in support of
delivery of its residential digital phone service, which will launch later in

Cogeco's residential voice service will be based on network technology
provided by Cisco Systems ® including Internet Protocol (IP) softswitches
and voice gateways.

Interconnectivity to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) and
long distance routing will be made possible via TELUS.

Once the new service is launched, Cogeco will enhance the offering with
value-add new features and applications over time to meet the evolving needs
of customers.

Cogeco Cable is the second largest cable operator in both Ontario and
Québec, and ranks fourth in Canada in terms of the number of basic service
customers it serves. Cogeco Cable provides about 1,319,000 revenue-generating
units to about 1,430,000 households passed within its service territory.
Through its two-way broadband cable infrastructure, Cogeco Cable provides its
residential and commercial customers with analog and digital video and audio
services, as well as high-speed Internet access. Cogeco Cable's subordinate
voting shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (CCA.SV).
