MCLEAN, VA--(Marketwired - October 25, 2016) - Cognosante today celebrated the grand opening of its state-of-the-art Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) center in Fargo, ND. The new facility, a result of Cognosante's growth in the Fargo Moorhead (FM) community, provides key services to support critical health programs for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Cognosante first opened its doors in the FM community in April 2005. The decision to renew its commitment to the area with a new facility is based in large part on the region's status as a business-friendly, vibrant metropolitan center with steady growth, a highly-trained workforce, outstanding quality of life, and reasonable costs of living and doing business.
"We are pleased to have Cognosante as a part of our community and state," said Sen. Judy Lee (R-West Fargo), representing the state's 13th District. Its role in health information technology has the potential to enhance efficiency in our healthcare programs."
Cognosante's new facility, located at 300 South 45th Street, is designed to conform to specialized security standards that provide protection of sensitive data - including personal health and income information - through secure printing, paperless work areas, and system and personnel access control. The 13,000-square-foot facility can accommodate up to 340 professionals providing critical health-related call center and other office-related activities for multiple Cognosante contracts over an extended work day.
"From the start, we have been impressed with the passion our FM team has for their work, and the pride they take in serving healthcare consumers and providers," said Michele Kang, CEO of Cognosante. "We are excited to see what the future holds as we continue to work toward transforming the nation's healthcare system. Our continued growth and success requires talented teams of professionals and strong community ties - both of which are evident here."
