Coinstar, Inc. and Redbox IT Executive Carole McCluskey Wins the CityLIGHTS "Prominent Woman in Tech" Award

Annual Award Honors Women in the Chicago Technology Industry

OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL--(Marketwire - May 17, 2012) - The Illinois Technology Association awarded Carole McCluskey, the corporate technology leader representing Redbox and its parent company Coinstar, Inc., the Prominent Woman in Tech Award at the 13th Annual CityLIGHTS Gala. McCluskey, an industry veteran of more than 25 years, was honored by a panel of industry, government, education and community notables for her dedication to fostering technical advancements among women.

An enterprise software veteran, McCluskey oversees all technical strategy and execution for Coinstar, Inc. and the Redbox line of business. Currently a mentor to more than 10 women within the industry, McCluskey founded the Coinstar, Inc. women's leadership dinner series, an effort to advance women's careers in a competitive and innovative field by giving them a forum to network and build their own personal brands.

"We are proud that Carole has been recognized for her outstanding achievements in career development for women," said Scott Di Valerio, chief financial officer of Coinstar, Inc. "Carole is a dedicated professional who constantly advocates for the advancement of women in technology on both a personal and professional level, and we are thrilled to see her honored by ITA for her stellar work."

Along with the leadership dinner series, CityLIGHTS also showcased McCluskey's instrumental role in Coinstar's recruitment of strong women for technology roles. In tandem with HR, she works closely with Coinstar's leadership team to identify and bolster development opportunities for women.

Redbox was also named as a finalist for the Lighthouse Award, which is presented to companies that, through sustained growth, national reputation and excellence in product and services, best represent the Chicago region's growing stature as home to quality information-technology companies.
