Cold Jet Signs Partnership Agreement With Applied Products

Partnership to Extend Reach of Dry Ice Blasting Systems to Applied Products' Adhesives, Assembly Tools and Manufacturing Automation Customers and Suppliers

CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwire - June 18, 2009) - Cold Jet, the world leader in dry ice blast cleaning and production technology, today announced a partnership with Applied Products, Inc., a complete assembly and process solutions company based in Minnetonka, Minn. Applied Products focuses on incorporating adhesives, dispensing equipment, assembly automation, production tools, and engineering into one synergistic business resource. As cleaning and maintenance are critical to any manufacturing and assembly operation, Applied Products will now work with Cold Jet to exclusively market and sell Cold Jet's dry ice blast cleaning systems to its growing base of customers and suppliers.

"As an assembly and process solutions provider, our customers rely on us to deliver value to their manufacturing and assembly operations," said Bill Bushman, national sales manager for Applied Products. "We do this by helping them reduce their 'cost' to manufacture their products. This includes keeping their lines running as efficiently as possible. With Cold Jet, we can now provide a cleaning solution that will help them reduce maintenance downtime and scrap, increase throughput and improve product quality. Add it all up and we just took 'cost' out of the product."

Applied Products chose to partner with Cold Jet over other competitive products due to the company's leadership position and diverse product line. Among Cold Jet's family of dry ice blasting systems is the recently announced i3MicroClean for precision and controlled environment applications, and the Aero Series, designed to provide mobile, efficient, economical and environmentally responsible support for the most difficult cleaning challenges.

"For nearly 40 years, Applied Products has proven that it is able to help engineer and solve any type of adhesive, thermal or assembly application problem," said Brian Allen, vice president, North American sales for Cold Jet, LLC. "The company's experienced staff of sales executives, adhesive chemists, technical service support, customer service specialists, and dedicated operations team members work with customers to provide innovative solutions to their product and assembly needs. This is a great fit for Cold Jet as Applied Products partners with the world's leading manufacturers and works with customers that can truly benefit from our dry ice blast cleaning technology."

Bushman added, "What we found in Cold Jet was a company that pays attention to detail, in its product, training, marketing and service. A bonus was the fact that the systems are made right here in the United States. At Applied Products, our motto is to 'Deliver Value Beyond Expectation' and one of the best ways to accomplish this is by partnering with the leaders in their respective discipline. With Cold Jet, we have a partner who is the market leader in dry ice blasting equipment, in quality and in experience."

Cold Jet's dry ice blasting systems use recycled CO2 in the form of non-abrasive dry ice pellets or particles for a variety of cleaning applications. Dry ice blasting has proven effective in cleaning adhesive dispensing and manufacturing equipment, and assembly tools and automation equipment without using harmful chemicals and traditional manual scrubbing methods. The dry ice media, blasted at supersonic speeds, sublimates upon impact with the surface being cleaned, lifting away dirt and contaminants without leaving behind any secondary waste. Dry ice blasting is a dry process and is therefore also safe to use on electric wiring and components.
