Coldsnap Festival Continues to Grow and Entertain Thanks to Federal Funding

Member of Parliament Bob Zimmer announces support for the Prince George Folkfest Society


PRINCE GEORGE, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Feb. 20, 2015) - The Government of Canada is providing funding of $15,000 through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund to the Prince George Folkfest Society in support of the 2016 edition of Coldsnap - The Prince George Winter Music Festival.

Coldsnap is one of the few music festivals in British Columbia that takes place during winter. The festival lineup includes performers in various genres from across Canada, as well as artists from the community. The Prince George Folkfest Society also offers free daytime concerts and a series of outreach activities, including musical workshops hosted by both headlining acts and local talent.

Bob Zimmer, Member of Parliament (Prince George-Peace River), announced this support today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
