Coldwell Banker Previews International Releases Luxury Market Report

Report Spotlights Global Luxury Market Trends, Top U.S. Luxury Markets by Listings and Sales, and the Largest Closed Sales by Coldwell Banker Previews Specialists in 2012

PARSIPPANY, NJ--(Marketwire - Sep 6, 2012) - According to a new Luxury Market Report by Coldwell Banker Previews International®, exclusive ZIP codes in California are among the most active luxury real estate markets for homes listed and/or sold at $10 million and above between June 2011 and June 2012. Coldwell Banker Previews International, the Coldwell Banker brand's luxury real estate marketing program, had an average of $70 million in luxury home sales each day in 2011.

Through market data collected where Coldwell Banker has a presence, Coldwell Banker Previews International found that four California ZIP codes, 90265 (Malibu) 90210 (Beverly Hills), 90077 (Bel Air / Los Angeles), 93108 (Santa Barbara), along with one in Colorado 81611 (Aspen) topped the charts for the most home listings priced at $10 million and above for the period from June 2011 to June 2012. For the number of homes sold over $10 million, the ZIP code 33139 (Miami Beach, Fla.) joined Beverly Hills, Santa Barbara, Bel Air/Los Angeles and Aspen among the leaders.

Along with a focused look at exclusive ZIP code activity, the new semiannual Previews® report also provides statistical and anecdotal snapshots of select worldwide luxury markets.

Coldwell Banker Previews International - Most Significant Sales YTD 2012

The following chart shows the six most significant closed sales in which Coldwell Banker Previews International specialists were involved in year-to-date in 2012. Listing prices are displayed because sales price information was not disclosed at the time of the transaction. Most notably, the Miami-based team of Jill Eber and Jill Hertzberg ("The Jills") has two sales this year on the list above $20 million. They are the top-ranked Previews team, having closed on a record $280 million in sales during 2011.
