Collaboration Agreement Between Aluminerie Alouette and Exploration Orbite

MONTREAL, QUEBEC and SEPT-ILES, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 25, 2008) - Exploration Orbite V.S.P.A. Inc. ("Orbite") - (TSX VENTURE:ORT.A) announced the execution of a collaboration letter agreement with Aluminerie Alouette Inc. ("Alouette"). The collaboration agreement is intended to allow Orbite to optimize its process and to develop technical specifications required to deploy a pilot plant and, eventually, one or more commercial units. The final objective is the production of large volumes of specialty (high-purity) alumina and metallurgical alumina using Orbite's patent pending process.

Alouette operates the biggest aluminum smelter in America. Its Sept-Iles plant leads the world in reducing energy consumption per ton of aluminum produced.

Orbite and Alouette are considering implementing a pilot plant in Sept-Iles. This collaboration project follows a Non-Disclosure Agreement entered into in May 2007, after which Orbite supplied in July 2007 specialty alumina samples extracted from the Grande-Vallee deposit using Orbite's proprietary process. These samples were then analyzed in Alouette's laboratories. According to the President of Orbite, Mr. Richard Boudreault, "this collaboration with Alouette offers many advantages including, the proximity of laboratories which will contribute to lower analysis costs, access to electrolysis cells that will allow Orbite to run aluminum production tests using the alumina extracted using Orbite's process and the presence of qualified manpower on site."

The President of Alouette, Mr. Robert Guilbault, declared that "the conclusion of the letter agreement with Orbite is in line with our commitment towards the economic development of the Sept-Iles and the Cote-Nord region as well as the aluminum and alumina processing industries in Quebec. Orbite's process and the Grande-Vallee deposit represent a unique opportunity for Quebec and for Alouette."

"These formal discussions with a high-profile company operating in the aluminum sector demonstrate how serious are our extraction process and of our mining exploration program. We are delighted of this relationship with Alouette whose corporate culture and sense of entrepreneurship are very compatibles with those of Orbite" concluded the President of Orbite, Mr. Richard Boudreault.

The demand for metallurgical alumina extracted from Orbite's alumina clay deposit could increase future extraction and purification operations at the Grande-Vallee site, in Gaspesie.

About Orbite: Exploration Orbite V.S.P.A. owns 100 % of the mining rights relating to the Grande-Vallee property, an alumina clay deposit which comprises 58 cells covering 3,232.3 hectares and located 32 km north-east of Murdochville, in Gaspesie. The corporation also owns the rights to a patent-pending alumina extraction process.

About Alouette: Founded in 1992, Aluminerie Alouette is an independent aluminum producer with more than 945 employees and an annual production capacity of over 575,000 tons. Alouette is the largest employer in Sept-Iles. It operates the biggest aluminum smelter in America. Its Sept-Iles plant leads the world in reducing energy consumption per ton of aluminum produced. The state-of-the-art facility exceeds government environmental standards by a wide margin. Aluminerie Alouette regroups five shareholders, namely Rio Tinto Alcan (Canada 40%), Austria Metall (Austria, 20%), Hydro Aluminum (Norway, 20%), Societe generale de financement du Quebec (Quebec, 13.33%) and Marubeni (Japan, 6.67%).
