Colorado's Winter Forecast Is Packed With Major Developments, New Attractions, Exciting Events and More

DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Aug 13, 2015) - A strong El Nino and heavy snowfall predicted for the upcoming winter are not the only exciting forecasts for Colorado. The state is also buzzing with major news, developments, activities and events launching in destinations and resorts across the state this winter season.

New Attractions, Activities and Amenities:

The Arrabelle in Vail Offers New "Spa on Demand". The Arrabelle in Vail Square will be offering a new "spa on demand" service for winter 2015-2016. Presented like room service, guests have a choice of three spa offerings -- including one for kids -- and can order services on in-room iPads.

Beaver Creek Opens White Carpet Club. New for winter 2015-2016, Beaver Creek will present the White Carpet Club - an exclusive, private retreat within the heart of Beaver Creek Village.

The Little Nell's Skiing & Winter Adventures Program Expands. The Little Nell's Skiing & Winter Adventures program, which debuted last year, is back for winter 2015-2016, expanding this year with a "Snowcat Academy" where guests can to learn to commandeer a snowcat.

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Launches Ultimate Heli-Ski Experience. New this winter, Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa will offer guests the Ultimate Heli-Ski Experience, including a private helicopter transfer to the San Juan Mountain Range for a day of professionally guided heli-skiing, four nights of accommodations for four people and more.

St. Regis Aspen Resort to Provide Altitude Concierge. New for winter 2015-2016, The St. Regis Aspen Resort is providing guests with an Altitude Concierge to assist them with adjusting to Aspen's altitude, including a personal oxygen machine for easier breathing.

Vail Mountain Offers New Women's Ultimate 4 Program. New for winter 2015-2016, this premium group ski lesson offers a prime learning environment for up to four women and is led by a female instructor from the Vail Ski & Snowboard School.  

Viceroy Snowmass Introduces Ski-In/Ski-Out Spa Treatments. This winter, Viceroy Snowmass will be the first hotel in the U.S. to offer ski-in/ski-out spa treatments. The treatments run 30 minutes or less, and are aimed at reinvigorating skiers and getting them back on the slopes to finish their day.

Adventure Lodge Opens in Boulder. Boulder's newest hotel, A-Lodge (The Boulder Adventure Lodge), opened in July 2015, and was created to provide visitors with access to the best outdoor adventures the city has to offer.

ART Hotel Welcomes Guests in Denver's Museum District. Opened in June 2015, the 165-room ART Hotel is a one-of-a-kind boutique accomodations experience highlighting captivating pieces of contemporary art. The new luxury property is the only hotel of its kind in the U.S. to showcase original works of art of this caliber.

Historic Brown Palace Hotel Unveils $10.5M Million Remodel. Denver's iconic Brown Palace Hotel completed a $10.5 million renovation in July 2015 including a full remodel of the property's 200 guest rooms, which have been masterfully updated while maintaining the hotel's classic Victorian charm.

Hostel Fish Debuts in Downtown Denver. Opened in July 2015, Hostel Fish, an 80-bed upscale hostel, offers luxurious accommodations at a fraction of the cost ($45 per person per night) of traditional Denver hotels.

Telluride's Madeline Hotel and Residences Completes First Phase of Renovation. Located in Telluride's Mountain Village, Madeline Hotel and Residences recently completed the first part of a two-phase, $10 million renovation including upgrades and enhancements to the hotel's restaurants, ski services and more.  

Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Undergoes Major Renovation. Beaver Creek's award-winning Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa will complete nearly $7 million in renovations this fall, including a major revamp of all 230 luxurious guest residences, the public corridors, the Ski Valet and the Kids Club.

Westin Hotel and Public Transit Center at Denver International Airport to Open. Making its debut on November 19, 2015, the new 500-room Westin Hotel will open its doors at Denver International Airport as part of the South Terminal Redevelopment project.

New Events, Festivals, Anniversaries and Exhibits:

The National Parks Service Celebrates its Centennial. 2016 marks the 100^th anniversary of the national parks service. Colorado is home to four National Parks including Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Great Sand Dunes National Park, Mesa Verde National Park and Rocky Mountain National Park; as well as eight National Monuments.

Denver Art Museum Presents Wyeth: Andrew and Jamie in the Studio, November 8, 2015-February 7, 2016. The Denver Art Museum presents a groundbreaking exhibition exploring the art of Andrew Wyeth and his son Jamie. Wyeth: Andrew and Jamie in the Studio will feature more than 100 works created in a variety of media.

New Food and Beverage Offerings:

Avanti Food & Beverage Opens in Denver. Opened in July 2015 and inspired by European markets and food truck roundups, Avanti Food & Beverage in Denver's Lower Highland's Neighborhood is a modern day food hall.

Aspen's Cloud Nine Restaurant Gets Remodel. Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro, the cozy European-style restaurant located mid-mountain on Aspen Highlands, is undergoing a $1.1 million remodel.

"The Remedy," Vail's Cure-All Cocktail Bar & Lounge Debuts at Four Seasons Vail. Opened June 2015, The Remedy is an energetic, casual hang-out for visitors to unwind, socialize and imbibe.

Stanley Marketplace to Open. The popularity of food halls continues in Denver, with the early 2016 opening of Stanley Marketplace. The more than 22-acre, 100,000 sq. ft. indoor/outdoor space was once Stanley Aviation headquarters.

New Umbrella Bar to Open at Ten Peaks at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Opening this winter, the new Umbrella Bar at Ten Peaks will debut along with a large deck seating area, as part of a million dollar renovation project at Crested Butte Mountain Resort.
