Comcast and Splunk Team Up at O'Reilly Strata + Hadoop World

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 17, 2012) - Splunk Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLK), the leading provider of software for real-time operational intelligence, today announced Splunk customer Comcast will describe its big data strategy at the O'Reilly Strata + Hadoop World conference in New York. The session, "How Comcast Turns Big Data into Real-time Operational Insights" will take place Wednesday, October 24, at 4:10 p.m. ET.

Comcast will discuss how one of the world's leading media, entertainment and communications companies uses Splunk® software to collect, organize and derive operational intelligence from big data. The speakers will include Raanan Dagan, senior marketing manager of big data for Splunk and Patrick Shumate, principal engineer for Comcast.
