Come on Down! "The Price Is Right-Live" Stage Show Coming to Las Vegas
Long-Running Gameshow to Debut in the Jubilee! Theater at Bally's Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 6, 2006 -- The Showcase. The Big Wheel. Gorgeous
gameshow models. The familiar and exciting call to "Come on down!" And, oh
yes, "A NEW CAR!" "The Price is Right-Live" Stage Show is in Las Vegas and
only at the Jubilee! Theater at Bally's Las Vegas.
Building on a successful run at Bally's Atlantic City and in five other
casinos around the country, "The Price is Right-Live" Stage Show will make
its Las Vegas debut April 25, 2006. This will mark the beginning of a
scheduled two-year run on the Vegas Strip. The show, from FremantleMedia,
the producers of "American Idol" and "The Price Is Right" TV shows, will
run simultaneously in Las Vegas and Atlantic City throughout 2006.
The live shows, offering chances to win the same valuable prizes we've come
to know and love, will be presented Tuesday through Thursday and Saturday
at 2:30 p.m. and on Fridays at 8 p.m. Tickets are $39.95 (plus tax and
service charge) and are available at the Bally's and Paris box offices, or
by calling 702-967-4567 or toll free at 1-877-374-7469. Tickets can also
be purchased via www.ballyslasvegas.com. There is no age requirement for
ticket holders. Contestants must be 21 years of age or older.
"The Price is Right-Live" Stage Show will feature host Todd Newton (also
known as the host of "E! News Live," "Coming Attractions" and "Whammy! The
All New Press Your Luck"), along with a bevy of beauties. The show will
also feature such fan-favorite games as "Plinko," "Cliff Hangers," "The Big
Wheel," "Hole in One," and, of course, "The Showcase." Just like on the TV
show, contestants will have a chance to win thousands of dollars in cash
and prizes.
Using exciting and new interactive technology, eligible audience members
will have the opportunity to be contestants and to win fabulous prizes.
Prior to selecting new contestants to "Come on down!," the audience will be
shown a classic clip from "The Price is Right" TV show, followed by a
question about the clip. Using keypads, audience members will select their
answers. The first person with the correct answer will get to be "the next
contestant on 'The Price is Right-Live.' "
"We are delighted to be the new home of the popular 'The Price Is
Right-Live' Stage Show -- a great opportunity to extend our showroom
offerings in a format that offers guests entertainment and prizes," said
Marilyn Winn, President of Bally's Las Vegas. "I truly believe our
customers will enjoy each and every minute of this exciting live event at
Bally's Las Vegas."
"This is the ultimate experience for all those millions of fans who have
always dreamed they would be 'the next contestant on 'The Price Is Right,'"
said Keith Hindle, Vice President, Integrated Marketing and Interactive,
FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide, Americas, the U.S. licensing arm of
FremantleMedia. "Las Vegas is the premier entertainment destination of
today and Harrah's is the first name in casino entertainment; I don't think
there's any better formula for success."
"The Price is Right-Live" would not be complete without "The Price is
Right" models to showcase prizes. "The Price is Right-Live" is hosting a
model search event to identify classic beauties for the show. The event is
from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 12 at the Jubilee! Theater at Bally's Las
Vegas. Models must be at least 5'7" tall, 18 years of age or older, and
must bring a photo ID, swimsuit, photographs and a resume. Candidates must
be either a United States citizen, legal permanent resident of the United
States, or possess a current legal visa allowing you to seek employment
freely in the United States. For models interested in participating,
please RSVP to priceisrightmodels@fremantlemedia.com.
