Come Out and WALK...to Stop Multiple Sclerosis!

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 27, 2007) - The Quebec Division of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada invites you to participate in the thirteenth edition of the Super Cities WALK for MS, which will take place in 22 cities across Quebec: in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Drummondville, Gatineau, Granby, Laval, Levis, Montreal, Mont-Tremblant, Repentigny, Saint-Hyacinthe, Saint-Jerome, Sainte-Catherine, Sainte-Therese and Trois-Rivieres on April 29; in Alma, Baie-Comeau, Chicoutimi, Port-Cartier and Sept-Iles on June 3; and in Quebec City, Sherbrooke and Sorel-Tracy on September 9, 2007.

Putting a stop to MS... with your help!

Our objective this year is to have a turnout of 7,500 WALKers and raise $1,300,000 to fund research and services for people with multiple sclerosis (MS) and their families. In 2006, some 7,200 WALKers raised $1,250,000, or $150,000 more than the target amount. With successes like that, we will be able to stop MS, the most widespread neurological disease affecting young adults in Canada; it affects primarily people between the ages of 15 and 40.
