Comergent Offers BroadVision Customers Free $5,000 eBusiness Evaluation Workshop

One-Day Consultation Maps eBusiness Needs

Incentives for Systems Integrators Also Offered

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 1, 2005 -- Comergent Technologies®, Inc., the leader in eBusiness solutions for the extended enterprise, is making a bold offer to prospective customers. Comergent's CEO, Jean Kovacs, sent a personal letter to key BroadVision customers today to offer a free eBusiness Evaluation Workshop, worth $5,000. The offer comes on the heels of an announcement last week that BroadVision would be acquired by Vector Capital, a private equity firm in San Francisco.

The Comergent eBusiness Evaluation Workshop is designed for companies seeking to optimize their eBusiness environment and create a seamless sales experience for all customers, partners and salespeople. In the one-day workshop, Comergent's experts guide a team of business and IT staff from the recipient company through an exercise that maps the present eBusiness scenario to a desired future scenario and identifies gaps between the two.

"We want to start customers down a path for simplifying all their customer-facing operations -- a path that leverages and extends their BroadVision investment," said Kovacs. "If a company is asking itself, 'Should I find a better platform for all my eBusiness activity?' or 'What is the best eBusiness strategy for my company?' that company should take this offer."

In addition, Comergent is extending benefits to BroadVision's system integration partners who are interested in becoming Comergent systems integrators. That offer includes additional training, consulting, joint marketing, and customer financing.

Comergent's success is due in large part to the Comergent eBusiness System™, which helps companies increase revenue and lower costs by making it easy for their customers to do business with them. Comergent's solutions orchestrate the process of order configuration, pricing, quoting, and order management, even for companies with complex products, channels and existing IT systems. Comergent implements systems in 120 days or less with a 98 percent record of success.

"We had a long list of requirements when we went shopping for an eBusiness system three years ago," said Mark Franke, vice president, information technology for World Wide Technology. "Comergent met every one of them. This is a company that does what it says it's going to do."

"Ninety percent of our customers come back to implement additional projects with us because we are passionate about customer service," said Kovacs. "We have a philosophy of zero tolerance for failure and so far, it's working."

Comergent has demonstrated solid financial performance for the past seven years, steadily growing its revenues and customer base, even as the technology industry overall struggled.

Comergent's offer is good until December 2005 and is only available to current BroadVision customers.
