Comergent Reports Strong Momentum in Enterprise E-Commerce

Sophisticated Solutions and Compelling Business Value Earn High Marks From Customers, Partners, and Industry Watchers

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 20, 2005 -- Comergent Technologies®, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise e-commerce solutions, today reported strong demand and continued business momentum. Since FY2003, the company has seen 112 percent growth in its customer base and 51 percent growth in sales, with an expanding presence in several key vertical markets. Comergent has also maintained its high customer satisfaction rating and positive recognition from leading industry analysts.

Business-to-business e-commerce revenues topped $1.5 trillion in 2004 -- a more than 1,200 percent increase since 1999 -- according to market research firm IDC. This growth is driven by the decisive advantages of doing business online, including better customer service, streamlined order processes, faster response times, and the opportunity to tap new revenue streams.

As a result, the market for enterprise e-commerce software has grown significantly as companies expand and improve their online operations.

"E-commerce experienced explosive growth in the B2C market initially, while B2B focused on bringing buyers and sellers together in net marketplaces that cut out distribution partners," said Bill York, CTO, Comergent. "Comergent's original and ongoing vision has been to create solutions that include buyers, sellers, and distribution partners. Continued demand for our solution shows that companies want a system that works within their existing business model and gives them a comprehensive view of all sales processes."

Comergent Emerges as a Leader in Enterprise E-Commerce

With proven implementations at Global 2000 companies, the Comergent E-Business System™ automates and optimizes selling and ordering processes and increases customer revenues and profits. Comergent implementations typically show a return on investment within six months.

"Comergent's tremendous growth is a testament to the highest caliber of people, products and customer service at Comergent," said Greg Vigil, director of enterprise collaboration for Gates Corporation. "Since the beginning, they have demonstrated an uncompromising commitment to our success."

Another key to Comergent's success is its pioneering service-oriented architecture (SOA), currently in its third generation, which leverages and extends customers' existing ERP, CRM and other IT systems. In addition, Comergent applications are proven with breakthrough scalability and performance as demonstrated by its demanding customer deployments. Comergent's solution facilitates companies and their selling partners to work in concert to improve end-customer service, gain insight into customer behavior and preferences, better understand channel performance and ultimately increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
