HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - August 12, 2008) - Command Information, the premier provider of next generation network services, today announced the formation of its Communications Provider business unit to meet the growing needs of the carrier, cable, and Internet Service Provider community. Additionally, the company announced that it has hired Doug Dangremond as Vice President, Sales and Business Development, to lead the new business.

"The communications marketplace is evolving rapidly and providers face many challenges in delivering next generation Internet services, including video on demand, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), and always-on mobility," said Jerry Edgerton, CEO of Command Information. "Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) and associated next generation infrastructures are key to enabling these services. Focused on addressing the toughest operational challenges -- while at the same time lowering costs and maximizing IT investment -- the new business unit will assist customers in migrating their network architectures and aligning new capabilities with network investments.

Prior to joining Command Information, Dangremond was Vice President, Public Sector for NeuStar, Inc., a provider of clearinghouse and directory services to the global communications and Internet industry. "Communication providers face many complex issues regarding IP communications including the migration to IPv6," said Dangremond. "Command Information has extensive experience in helping companies plan for this adoption.
