Command Information Launches New Service Offering to Support DoD and NIST Certification Processes

Command Ready Assists Organizations in Meeting Stringent IPv6 Standards

HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - October 14, 2008) - Command Information, the premier provider of next generation network services, has officially launched Command Ready -- a service offering that helps companies meet the Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) requirements of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) certification processes. The new service offering is designed to guide a company's product through either certification process by following Command Information's proven Envision, Develop, and Test methodology.

"In order to sell successfully into the Department of Defense and most of the federal government, companies must ensure they are JITC and/or NIST certified," said Jeremy Duncan, Director of IPv6 Products and Services, Command Information. "Additionally, it is vital that companies going through these processes are well prepared to meet all stringent requirements. IPv6 is now a major component of government networks and the testing process requires products to be engineered to support IPv6 and address associated compliance issues. Command Ready is a service that assists companies that are seeking JITC and/or NIST certification and supports product development efforts for next generation IP services."

Command Ready joins Command Information's current IPv6/next generation Internet suite of service offerings, including network assessments; information technology planning and migration; training; application development; security; as well as on-going operational support. Command Ready provides companies with the ability to:

-- Envision: perform product surveys, conformance reporting, product
    roadmap, and training
-- Development: program management, agile coaching, application
    development, and feature/performance testing
-- Test: independent/pre-JITC testing, JITC test support, and
    remediation services
-- Once accredited, Command Information will have the ability to provide
vendors with an IPv6 Suppliers Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) for U.S.
    government IPv6 mandates

"Ensuring that IPv6 enabled products meet DISA certification criteria is no small task," said Duncan. "As the former IPv6 Action Officer at JITC, I know first hand the focus of the government to leverage products that have met the certification criteria. Additionally, I understand the challenges companies face in ensuring their solutions meet these standards. Command Information has the knowledge and expertise to help. We look forward to working with some of the best and brightest companies as they pursue their JITC and NIST certifications."
