CommerceTel and Chanticleer Holdings Sign Exclusive Agreement to Bring Mobile Engagement to Hooters South Africa

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Dec 15, 2011) - CommerceTel Corporation (OTCQB: MFON) (PINKSHEETS: MFON) ("CommerceTel" or "Company"), an award-winning provider of proprietary mobile marketing technologies and solutions, announced today that Chanticleer Holdings (OTCBB: CCLR), owner and operator of Hooters restaurants internationally, has selected CommerceTel as its exclusive partner to facilitate mobile marketing and digital display campaigns such as voting, text alerts, and special offers, to all of its international Hooters locations. Initial roll-out will commence with three locations in South Africa.

"Both domestically, and abroad, the mobile phone is becoming the de facto marketing channel to reach consumers," said Dennis Becker, CEO of CommerceTel. "We are very excited to help Chanticleer promote the recognized Hooters brand overseas with our flexible, turnkey mobile marketing technology solutions."

Using CommerceTel's C4 and Txtstation Pro web-based platforms, Hooters South Africa will be equipped to deliver HD-quality graphics and animations to digital screens in and around their restaurant locations. Consumers will be able to text in to interactive displays for activities such as trivia or voting, and see real-time results on screens throughout Hooters' venues within seconds. Direct interaction with consumers through their mobile phone has been proven to not only increase overall subscriptions to ongoing offers from the restaurant, but also engage the consumer in a fun and interactive way that enhances in-venue customer experience.

Additionally, Chanticleer's international Hooters locations will have the unique ability to engage fans through a variety of mobile channels using CommerceTel's technology. Fans will be able to opt-in for real-time alerts and offers created by the Hooters restaurant by sending a SMS text message. For example, the restaurant owner can send a limited-time 20% off wings promotion directly to consumers who have opted in or interacted with trivia or voting campaigns. In a matter of minutes, the restaurant owner can reach hundreds of potential guests at a fraction of the cost to run an online ad. With 90% of SMS messages being read within five to six minutes of receipt, CommerceTel's technology can generate meaningful incremental sales for all types of businesses.

"Our international locations are well positioned to capitalize on the advantages of interacting with our customers through their mobile devices," stated Mike Pruitt, CEO of Chanticleer Holdings. "CommerceTel's proven track record of running successful mobile marketing campaigns in thousands of retail food and beverage venues, powered by their unique patented technology, provides a perfect fit for our progressive approach to leveraging new and innovative marketing strategies."
