CommerceTel Corp. Shares Begin Trading Publicly

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - January 12, 2011) - CommerceTel Corp. (OTCBB: MFON), an award-winning provider of proprietary mobile marketing technologies and solutions, announced today its shares of common stock have begun trading on the OTC Bulletin Board.

CommerceTel, founded in 2006, has received several accolades in the mobile marketing space, having been selected 2009 Sybase (an SAP company) Innovator of the Year, 2008 Mobile Marketing Company of the Year, and 2008 Mobile Marketing Association Global Award Finalist.

What distinguishes CommerceTel in the mobile marketing solutions space is its proprietary Web-based Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. CommerceTel's robust and scalable platform leads the mobile marketing industry in the development and execution of IVR campaigns. Combined with other mobile interactions such as SMS text messaging, multimedia messaging (MMS), and other forms of mobile engagement, the CommerceTel platform provides its enterprise customers with one-of-a-kind, truly enriched, interactive mobile marketing campaigns that can be easily modified on a real-time, dynamic basis.

The only system of its kind, the CommerceTel platform is an all-software, all-IP system that directly links the public switched telephone network with mobile messaging networks and is massively scalable and able to process large number of transactions on demand. It is integrated with multiple tier-one PSTN/IP carriers and micropayment processing facilities as well as with carrier premium SMS billing systems. The platform delivers a suite of services designed to facilitate and monetize consumer interaction with television, radio, print and web content.

To date, CommerceTel's technology has been deployed by enterprise brands to engage over 4 million unique consumers across millions of transactions. In October and November 2010 alone, CommerceTel facilitated millions of text messages for various political campaigns. Moreover, CommerceTel recently facilitated Sony Picture's unique IVR marketing campaigns for the release of the major motion pictures Virginity Hit and District 9. And every night, people can see the CommerceTel technology at work on various CNN broadcasts. In short, CommerceTel has pioneered the mobile channel as the ultimate direct connection for brands to the consumer.

Dennis Becker, CEO, stated, "We have been diligently focused on developing our unique, proprietary technology over the past few years and proving its value with top-tier brands and organizations. We are very excited to have become a public company in order to further facilitate our growth plans, both organically and through opportunistic acquisitions."

"We believe the mobile phone is the next major platform shift in technology," added Becker. "Our proprietary technology allows brands and enterprises to deploy a full array of mobile marketing solutions with unparalleled ease, efficiency and reach."
