Commercial Vehicle Insurer Reacts To Petrol Duty Hike

ROMFORD, ESSEX--(Marketwire - Sept. 3, 2009) - DNA insurance, one of the U.K's leading providers of private hire and taxi insurance have reacted to the recent increase in petrol duty, by encouraging firms to contact them, to see if they can save them money on their insurance premiums.

With the Government's latest increase in fuel duty by an extra 2 pence, coupled with the rise in the cost of crude oil, the average price of fuel now stands at around Pounds Sterling 1.05 per litre. This means that many businesses are being forced to look at ways of saving money, and reducing insurance premiums is just one of the measures which can be taken.

Some industry experts are predicting that the cost of fuel could rise to as much as Pounds Sterling 1.20 by the end of the year. This is particularly bad news for fleet owners, another blow at a time when so many are struggling due to the recession. DNA insurance are now encouraging such businesses to contact them, in order to see if they can reduce the impact of this by lowering insurance costs.

Founded in January 2003, DNA Insurance aims to offer customers a complete insurance package. Their core offerings include consumer car, home and travel insurance, together with cover for commercial businesses, with products such as taxi and van insurance.

DNA insurance uses a panel of insurers to offer its customers the most affordable and appropriate cover. So confident are they in their prices, they offer a price match guarantee on all insurance policies.

A spokesperson commented:

"The credit crunch, coupled with the recent rise in fuel costs has forced many motorists to look carefully at their insurance policies and ways in which they can save money. This is particularly apparent for our customers, who cover a lot of miles. For this reason, we are committed to offering our customers some of the most competitive insurance policies around."

"We encourage all those who operate fleets and commercial vehicles to contact us today, as we are confident that we can reduce insurance premiums by a significant amount."
