Commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting and Members of NYC Television Industry to Ring The NASDAQ Stock Market Opening Bell to Celebrate the 32nd Annual Daytime Emmy

Katherine Oliver, Commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting, will preside over the opening bell to celebrate the 32nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Commissioner Oliver will be joined by this year's recipients of the "Made in NY" award for their contributions to New York City's daytime television community: Susan Lucci, recipient of the 1999 Emmy Award for Best Actress for her performance as Erica Kane on "All My Children," Twila Liggett, creator/executive producer of the New York-based television show "Reading Rainbow," Judge Glenda Hatchett of the courtroom television show "Judge Hatchett," and Geraldine Laybourne, chairman/CEO of New York-based Oxygen media. Gary Knell, CEO of Sesame Street, which shoots in NYC and won its 100th Emmy last weekend, will represent the National Television Academy.
