CommPartners Reports That Its Network Is CALEA Compliant

Company's Nationwide IP Network Originally Designed for Compliance With Requirement Enabling Surveillance by Law Enforcement

LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 10, 2006 -- CommPartners, an IP-based network operator and telephony services and solutions provider, today said that its U.S. network is currently in compliance with the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA).

CALEA is the 1994 act that requires carriers to enable surveillance of end users of the carrier's network by authorized law enforcement agencies. The FCC recently reaffirmed the May 17, 2007 deadline that VoIP service providers must be compliant by.

"CommPartners' IP network was originally architected for CALEA compliance," said Dave Clark, CEO and co-founder of CommPartners. "We met the requirement over a year in advance of the deadline because the CommPartners network was designed at the outset to meet all anticipated regulatory requirements -- including CALEA -- that a VoIP service provider might face. What distinguishes CommPartners and our network is the breadth of our capabilities, including the ability to provide SMB and Enterprise-focused wholesale VoIP solutions and IP applications where VoIP is literally just the beginning. Regulatory compliance along with the attainment of CLEC status in 45 and soon 50 states in the Union have been fundamental to the CommPartners strategy as a wholesale network and IP solutions provider."

CommPartners currently provides wholesale VoIP services to over 80 service providers and several domestic and foreign carriers utilizing its privately managed, controlled, and fully redundant network and applications platform.
