Community College Migration to ANGEL LMS Surges

Superior Features, Value, and Company Responsiveness Top Reasons Cited for Switching to ANGEL

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 30, 2006 -- ANGEL® Learning, developer of simply powerful ANGEL Learning Management Suite 7, today named four more higher education institutions that recently switched to ANGEL LMS from Blackboard™, WebCT™, or both. The institutions are part of a quickly growing trend among institutions approaching licensing renewal to replace the course management system(s) they originally licensed with the ANGEL Learning Management Suite.

The most recent switchers to ANGEL named are: Kankakee Community College, Kankakee, IL; Kansas City Kansas Community College, Kansas City, KS; Kirtland Community College, Roscommon, MI; and, Sinclair Community College, Dayton, OH.

"Sinclair Community College issued an RFP and conducted a very thorough and detailed evaluation of four learning management systems," said Nancy Thibeault, director of distance learning and instructional support, Sinclair Community College. "Our major criteria included price, functionality, technical requirements and ease of conversion. ANGEL was the top scorer in all four categories. More importantly, ANGEL was viewed as a superior teaching tool with easy-to-use tools that will help increase faculty productivity."

Institutions that switch to ANGEL cite similar reasons for choosing ANGEL over their previous providers: features available only in ANGEL, capabilities included in ANGEL that cost more in other systems, and ANGEL Learning's commitment to customers' success. "We were most impressed by the ANGEL staff's friendly service and quick response to our many questions. They not only listened to us, they took action and incorporated some of our suggestions into the latest release of ANGEL," Thibeault continued. "With increasing demand for online courses, we have adopted a Master Course model where multiple course sections share the same content. We anticipate that ANGEL's Learning Object Repository and Master Course feature will save time when developing new courses, adding additional sections, and resetting courses between terms."

"We appreciate the challenges our customers face when switching to a new LMS and applaud their leadership in the education community," said Candice Roberts, vice president sales, ANGEL Learning. "We are excited about ANGEL's tremendous growth in both higher education and K-12. We understand that our success is dependent on our ability to deliver value to institutions, instructors and students, and we keep a laser focus on doing just that."
