Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund-Canada Economic Development Lends Support for Expansion of Complexe de Soccer Honco de Levis

LÉVIS, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Dec. 18, 2013) - Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, Jacques Gourde, Member of Parliament for Lotbinière-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière, today announced that Complexe de soccer Honco de Lévis has been granted financial assistance for the improvement of its facilities.

"Fostering community growth is a priority for our Government. That is the message we are sending today by helping fund the expansion of Complexe de soccer Honco de Lévis," said Mr. Gourde.

The project involves enlarging the soccer complex to 520 square metres (5,600 square feet) and installing changing rooms for users of the outdoor soccer-football field, washrooms on both floors and an elevator. These improvements will help facilitate access to the building and make it more functional for the various user groups.

Information:

This assistance, granted in the form of a $500,000 non-repayable financial contribution, has been awarded through the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund (CIIF).

The CIIF has a nationwide budget of $150 million over two years, including $31.2 million to be invested in Quebec, where the Agency is responsible for its administration. The Fund aims to support the rehabilitation and improvement, including expansion, of existing community infrastructure.
