Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund: Government of Canada Supports Corporation de developpement de Saint-Raphael

SAINT-RAPHAËL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 19, 2013) - Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, the Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs, Minister for La Francophonie and Member of Parliament for Lévis-Bellechasse, today announced that the Corporation de développement de Saint-Raphaël has been granted financial assistance for the modernization of the community centre in the municipality of Saint-Raphaël.

"By supporting this project of the Corporation de développement de Saint-Raphaël, the Government of Canada is fulfilling its commitment of helping to improve the quality of life in our communities," said Minister Blaney.

The Corporation de développement de Saint-Raphaël will use this funding from the Government of Canada to renovate the Saint-Raphaël community centre. The work will include insulating the building's roofs, updating the electrical system, replacing the heating and air conditioning systems and renovating a number of the rooms. This project will help improve the energy efficiency of the building.

"Our government remains focused on four priorities, as outlined by the Prime Minister, that Canadians care most about: their families, the safety of our streets and communities, their pride in being a citizen of this country, and of course, their personal financial security," Minister Blaney concluded.
