Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund: Government of Canada Supports the Saint-Camille Corporation de Developpement Socio-Economique

SAINT-CAMILLE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - May 29, 2013) - Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, the Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of Industry and Minister of State (Agriculture), today announced that the Corporation de développement socio-économique de Saint-Camille (Codesesca) has been granted financial assistance to upgrade an existing community and recreation facility.

"By supporting this project of the Saint-Camille Corporation de développement socio-économique, the Government of Canada is fulfilling its commitment to help improve the quality of life in our communities, "said Minister Paradis.

The Codesesca will use the Government of Canada's funding to renovate the Saint-Camille community and recreation centre, Toit des Quatre-Temps. The work will include constructing a new concrete structure, excavation and drainage work, reconfiguring the electric power supply system and installing a new garage door.

"Our Government remains focused on four priorities, as outlined by the Prime Minister, that Canadians care most about: their families, the safety of our streets and communities, their pride in being a citizen of this country, and of course, their personal financial security," concluded Minister Paradis.

This assistance, granted in the form of a $43,455 non-repayable contribution, has been awarded through the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund (CIIF).
