Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund-Municipality of Saint Adrien-d'Irlande Receives Funding From Government of Canada

SAINT-ADRIEN-D'IRLANDE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - May 13, 2013) - Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, the Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of Industry and Minister of State (Agriculture), today announced that the Municipality of Saint-Adrien-d'Irlande has been granted financial assistance for the modernization of its community centre.

"By funding this project of the Municipality of Saint-Adrien-d'Irlande, the Government of Canada is fulfilling its commitment to help improve the quality of life in our communities," said Minister Paradis.

This financial support from the Government of Canada will enable the municipality to repair the roof and convert the heating system of its community centre, the only public facility that serves as a venue for local recreational activities.

"Our government remains focused on four priorities, as outlined by the Prime Minister, that Canadians care most about: their families, the safety of our streets and communities, their pride in being a citizen of this country, and of course, their personal financial security," Minister Paradis concluded.
