Community Travel Website Eclipses 1,000,000 Travel Photos

ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, CA--(Marketwire - July 1, 2008) - TravBuddy (http://www.travbuddy.com), a social networking website for travelers, today announced that its members have contributed over 1,000,000 travel photos from around the world, a milestone which makes TravBuddy one of the largest repositories of travel photos online.

Unlike typical photo-sharing websites, each travel photo is tagged with a geographic location. This allows trip planners to browse photos using a map interface and research photos specific to their desired destinations. Furthermore, all photos are contributed by real travelers and members of the TravBuddy community, helping to provide a multi-viewed perspective into destinations from around the world.

"The old saying that a picture is worth one-thousand words applies particularly well to travel," says Eric Bjorndahl, CEO. "While guidebooks and travel writers can do great jobs of describing destinations, nothing can compare to actually seeing the place visually. Our large repository of travel photos will make it easier, more efficient and more fun for people to plan their next getaways."

TravBuddy also contains tens of thousands of user-contributed travel videos, travel blogs and hotel reviews. All user-contributed content is automatically organized by location, which makes it a more useful tool for visually researching potential travel destinations.
