Comox Sets Sail with Federal Funding for Nautical Days

COMOX, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - July 15, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

Nautical enthusiasts will get to enjoy the festivities of the 57^th annual Comox Nautical Days Festival, with the assistance of $5,800 in funding provided under the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program. The Honourable John Duncan, Minister of State, Chief Government Whip and Member of Parliament (Vancouver Island North), announced this support today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

Funding will help enable the Comox Nautical Days to present a series of free and family-friendly outdoor performances in various genres at the festival.

• This year's Comox Nautical Days Festival will take place during the British Columbia Day long weekend, from August 1 to 3, in Comox Marina Park.
