Compare Networks Names Steve Ernst Editor and General Manager of American Laboratory and Labcompare

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 27, 2014) - CompareNetworks, Inc., a leading provider of media and platform products in web and mobile formats for the scientific and healthcare industries and the parent company of American Laboratory / Labcompare, the world's most comprehensive and widely accessed Analytical Chemistry marketplace, announced today that Steve Ernst has joined the American Laboratory / Labcompare team as editor and general manager effective November 1st. Mr. Ernst will work on furthering content development for American Laboratory and Labcompare, delivering key information to the core audiences of the properties and ensuring that they provide timely and comprehensive coverage of the markets they serve.

As general manager, Mr. Ernst will be responsible for the operations of AL, for working with key communicators in the relevant sectors, for staying ahead of industry trends and innovations, and will play an important leadership role in the continued success of American Lab and Labcompare.

Mr. Ernst worked for many years with the scientific group of publications that are now part of Advantage Business Media, where he served as editor on Bioscience Technology, and alongside the other editors and publishers in the group was instrumental in starting new media initiatives and analyzing readership trends in the sciences.

For the past six years Mr. Ernst has run Veris Communications, a public relations and marketing firm that primarily worked with clients in biology and analytical chemistry. The experience at Veris has helped provide Mr. Ernst with a broad perspective on the challenges of effective communication of technical information in today's dynamic media landscape.
