Compassion Canada Named Best Christian Workplace

LONDON, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 9, 2014) - Compassion Canada is pleased to announce that it has been named a 2014 Best Christian Workplace.

Dedicated to releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name, Compassion Canada's mission fuels and inspires its employees. Barry Slauenwhite, President and CEO of Compassion Canada, knows how important having a healthy work culture is.

"Here at Compassion we have invested a lot in creating a healthy organizational culture," says Slauenwhite. "It is very gratifying to see the response from our staff in this year's Best Christian Workplace survey."

Every year since 2003, the Best Christian Workplaces Institute names Christian organizations that have flourishing workplace cultures and engaged employees.

To earn the distinction, organizations take part in an employee engagement survey and meet the institute's standard of excellence. The survey includes questions on topics including job satisfaction, Christian witness, personal development, management effectiveness, communication, and pay and benefits.

This year, 76 workplaces were honoured from across North America and beyond, including a diverse group of organizations such as churches, schools, mission organizations, and publishing groups. This is Compassion Canada's fifth time to receive this distinction.

"I am delighted and humbled once again for Compassion Canada to be the recipient of the Best Christian Workplace award," says Slauenwhite.
