Compassion Honoured for Integrity

LONDON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 13, 2007) - Compassion International, a leading Christian organization in the development of children around the world, has been recognized for the third year in a row by Ministry Watch, as a top 30 Ministry. MinistryWatch.com desires to see overall giving to Biblical Christian values and has developed this watch list to highlight ministries, which are exemplary.

In addition to this recognition by Ministry Watch, Compassion also received Charity Navigator's prestigious Four-Star Rating for a sixth straight year, placing them in the top 1% of the more than 5000 charities being observed by this group.

Says Barry Slauenwhite, President and CEO of Compassion Canada, "It is an honour to be recognized by these independent 'Watch Dog' organizations. Compassion Canada and its international partners have committed themselves to the highest standards of integrity. It is humbling and gratifying to be recognized for these efforts."

Compassion facilitates one-on-one child-development through partnership with local churches around the world. They are currently ministering to over 900,000 children in 24 of the world's poorest nations.
