First New Jersey Alternative Treatment Center to Be Headed by a Pharmacist

BELLMAWR, NJ--(Marketwired - August 29, 2013) -  Compassionate Sciences (CS-ATC) announced today that the Southern New Jersey non-profit alternative treatment center is preparing to open state-of-the-science facilities in Bellmawr. Build-out of the facilities began after the organization secured municipal site approval and a review of the organization's business plan by the State. After construction is completed and regulatory requirements are met, an operating permit will be issued by the state Department of Health.

"This will be one of the most highly-regulated businesses in New Jersey," said Frank Filipek, Mayor of Bellmawr. "Our community supports those in need and welcomes a healthcare facility that will help relieve pain and suffering while also creating jobs."

"We are delighted to begin work on a new part of the State's healthcare system in Bellmawr -- it's a great community," said Will Statter, CS-ATC Chairman of the Board and Executive Director. "Many patients need access to this program and we will do all we can to open the doors as soon as possible."
