Completed NAPA Know How CarDomain Project Car Is Revealed

Classic Chevelle Will Tour the 2012 Car-Show Circuit to Promote NAPA

STERLING HEIGHTS, MI--(Marketwire - Nov 14, 2011) - The completed NAPA Know How CarDomain Project Car has finally been revealed. The project car, a1965 Chevelle, was built by Kustom Creations as a promotional campaign for NAPA Auto Parts in collaboration with CarDomain.com, the world's largest online automotive enthusiast community.

The Chevelle, purchased through the CarDomain classifieds, was a partially completed father-son project that received the full custom treatment at Kustom Creations in Detroit. The makeover included disc brakes, an upgraded suspension, a manual four-speed conversion, upgrades to the 400-horsepower 396 V8, and custom paintwork featuring the NAPA blue-and-gold color scheme.

"It can definitely be a challenge to take on someone else's project, a car that's in pieces," said Harvey Ledesma, President, Kustom Creations. "But with the parts support from NAPA, we had everything we needed to transform the Chevelle into a top-notch show car."

Jen Dunnaway, editor at CarDomain.com, was on hand to witness the unveiling. "The NAPA Know How CarDomain Project Car build has been a really cool, interactive campaign for CarDomain," she said. "To be able to build out one of our members' cars purchased from our own For Sale section, document the entire project from beginning to end at a top Detroit-area custom shop and then have a gorgeous muscle car at the end of it all: this is definitely the kind of campaign that our car-enthusiast community responds to."

The Chevelle's transformation was documented in an online video series, narrated by Matt Farah of 'The Smoking Tire' and Speed Channel's 'The Car Show,' with each episode covering a different portion of the build. The series was hosted at NAPA's Brand Page on CarDomain.com, where updates to the project are posted and the company can communicate directly with its fans. The entire series can be viewed at http://www.cardomain.com/brands/napa.

Now that the build is complete, the Chevelle will soon be en route to NAPA headquarters in Atlanta, and from there it will travel to a variety of car shows and events through 2012.
