FRAMINGHAM, MA--(Marketwire - Jun 6, 2012) - IDG's Computerworld Honors Program, honoring visionary applications of information technology promoting positive social, economic and educational change, announces the 2012 21st Century Achievement Award winners -- one Laureate from each of the ten categories -- singled out for special recognition by the Program Judges as the best in their categories. In all, 200 Laureates from more than 25 countries were honored.
The 21st Century Achievement Award winners, recognized at the 24th Annual Honors Awards Program and & Gala Evening in Washington, D.C., were:

Several individuals were also recognized during the ceremony for their innovative use of technology.
The Morgan Stanley Leadership Award for Global Commerce, which recognizes an individual whose personal leadership has made a critical contribution to the effective use of information technology throughout the world, was presented to Reid Hoffman, Co-Founder & Executive Chairman, LinkedIn Corporation; and Partner, Greylock Partners.
The Dell Wyse Global Vision Award honored the Franklin-McKinley School District, Bloomington Public School District #87/IlliniCloud, Loveland Public Library, and Seattle Children's Hospital for their innovative use of virtualization and cloud technologies.
