NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Apr 28, 2011) - The New York Yankees will honor seven students as Con Edison Yankees Kids on the field at Yankee stadium on Friday, April 29 at 5 p.m.

The Con Edison Yankees Kids Program is a 42-year-old company tradition. The Yankees Kids, (see attached) one from each borough, Westchester County and one representing Orange and Rockland counties, are selected for their academic excellence, leadership and sportsmanship. Each youngster, between 8 and 16 years old, is nominated by a local civic organization.

Prior to the game with the Toronto Blue Jays, each Yankees Kid will receive a Con Edison Yankees Kid jacket, an official certificate and other items.

For more than four decades, the Con Edison Yankees Kid Program has provided more than 4 million New York youths with free Yankees tickets.
