Halifax to Munich -- Coming Summer 2016

HALIFAX, NS--(Marketwired - Sep 10, 2015) - Passengers flying out of Halifax Stanfield will soon have a new option for non-stop travel to Germany. Condor Airlines will offer weekly service to Munich beginning June, 2016 until October, 2016.

"We're delighted Condor is adding this new non-stop service to Bavaria's capital," says Joyce Carter, HIAA President & CEO. "This increased air service provides our passengers with another destination for European travel while providing our province the opportunity to welcome German tourists."

Condor Airlines will continue to operate its service to Frankfurt next summer with three weekly non-stop flights. The new Munich flights will be operated on a Boeing 767 which Condor will station in Munich. Condor started to offer long haul flights from Munich in winter 2013/2014 for the first time in six years. Since then, the flight schedule from Munich has been continuously expanded.

"Our extensive long haul program from Munich in the Winter was so well received that we are now taking the next step in the summer and Halifax, which we have successfully offered from Frankfurt for many years now, will be an important part of our summer network in Munich as well," explains Ralf Teckentrup, CEO at Condor Flugdienst GmbH. "We will offer a wide range of well-priced connection flights to all German and European cities to our guests from both, Munich and Frankfurt."

Flights can be booked online at condor.com or through travel agencies. Together with WestJet, Condor is offering its passengers an easy journey from most Canadian Cities. Condor is expanding its worldwide network of routes to a total in excess of more than 150 destinations served by Condor and its cooperation partners.
