Enterprise SEO Technology Leader Ranks #38 on the 2013 Inc. 500|5000 List With Three-Year Sales Growth of 6,702%

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Aug 22, 2013) - Inc. magazine today ranked Conductor on its 32nd annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at America's independent entrepreneurs, one of the most important segments of the economy. Conductor, the first-choice in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) technology, appeared on the list at #38, up from its #145 debut in 2010. The company also placed #4 for New York companies, #5 for the New York Metro Area and #8 for the top 100 advertising and marketing companies. Of those companies headquartered in New York City, Conductor was the third fastest-growing software company. Conductor joins well-known companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, Jamba Juice and Oracle to gain early exposure as members of the Inc. 500|5000.

"Organic search is the most powerful form of customer acquisition in the world and this sentiment is shared by major brands who have turned to Conductor Searchlight in record numbers to scale and grow natural search programs in a significant way," said Seth Besmertnik, CEO of Conductor. "Each year, more marketing budget is allocated to SEO and content marketing and each year Conductor sees increased demand for its cutting-edge technology platform to increase site traffic and brand visibility, uncover new business opportunities, and measure success."

The 2013 Inc. 500, unveiled in the September issue of Inc. magazine (available on newsstands Aug. 20 - Nov. 20 and on Inc.com), is the most competitive crop in the list's history. To make the cut, companies had to have achieved a staggering minimum of 918.59% in sales growth. The Inc. 500's aggregate revenue is $14.1 billion, with a median three-year growth of 1,739%. Fruition Partners achieved an impressive growth rate of 957.6% for the three-year evaluation period, placing it in the top 500 on the list at #482. The companies on this year's Inc. 500 employ more than 52,100 people and generated more than 44,912 jobs in the past three years.

"Not all the companies in the Inc. 500|5000 are in glamorous industries, but in their fields they are as famous as household name companies simply by virtue of being great at what they do," said Eric Schurenberg, Editor of Inc. magazine. "They are the hidden champions of job growth and innovation, the real muscle of the American economy."

Methodology
The 2013 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2009 to 2012. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2009. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent -- not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies -- as of Dec. 31, 2012. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired). The minimum revenue required for 2009 is $100,000; the minimum for 2012 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.'s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at www.inc.com/500.
