Confidela Delivers the Industry's Most Comprehensive and Easy to Use Document Control Solution With WatchDox 2.0

Company Adds Secure Offline Viewing and Editing Support and Offers Discount to Customers Switching From Other Industry Solutions

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - October 5, 2009) - Confidela, developer of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) document control, tracking and protection solutions, today released WatchDox 2.0 and announced a discount to customers switching from other industry solutions, such as Adobe LiveCycle and EMC IRM. WatchDox 2.0 maintains its same ease of use, and extends functionality to enable recipients to view and manage documents online, as well as edit them offline, while maintaining sender imposed restrictions on copying, printing and forwarding. WatchDox 2.0 is available in customized versions, such as WatchDox Virtual Data Room for sharing information in secure repositories and WatchDox Publisher for simplified secure mass distribution.

As companies continue to work globally, they share sensitive corporate information among employees, partners and customers. Industries such as pharmaceutical, financial and legal, among others, require reliable document protection and control to keep important data, specs, contracts, documentation and other sensitive materials out of the wrong hands. Confidela's SaaS solution is differentiated from other document security solutions, such as Information Rights Management (IRM) and e-mail encryption, by eliminating deployment complexity with no installation or password requirements, while providing a granular audit trail and dynamic permissions control.

Key additions to WatchDox 2.0 include:

-- Offline viewing and editing - Allow recipients to download documents
to a local machine, edit in native Microsoft Office applications and
collaborate with others, while maintaining control and tracking who opens,
    edits, prints or forwards them.
-- Management of permission for multiple documents - Add or remove
recipients and simultaneously change permissions for multiple documents,
giving an easier and faster way to manage a large number of documents.
-- Microsoft Outlook plug-in automatic settings - Leverage the Microsoft
Outlook plug-in for the ability to set WatchDox as the automatic and fixed
way to send documents, alleviating the extra step of opening another
-- Custom branding - Customize the look and feel of WatchDox by adding a
    company logo, enforcing document ownership.

Industry-specific versions include:

-- WatchDox Publisher - Lets professionals and businesses easily and securely send confidential research reports, financial documents, price lists and other information to multiple channels and hundreds or thousands of recipients.

-- WatchDox Virtual Data Room - A lightweight alternative to legacy virtual data rooms, it allows businesses to manage an unlimited number of online document repositories for multiple merger and acquisition (M&A) deals, investments and other transactions.

Herb Greenberg, co-president of Greenberg Meritz Research & Analytics said, "WatchDox has discovered the secret sauce to user-friendly document control. As a publisher, we value WatchDox as a way to enforce critical document security and simplify the process of gaining access to our reports. Converting was an easy choice, as our prior solution was a more traditional enterprise encryption provider that required a cumbersome plug-in. Our only wish is that WatchDox was available to us earlier."

"Confidela is committed to achieving product milestones that incorporate customer feedback and reflect the challenges associated with document security," said Moti Rafalin, CEO of Confidela. "Thousands of users are already leveraging WatchDox and the feedback is remarkable. This version is tailored to specific industry needs and improves our core technology by enabling offline viewing and editing capabilities that surpass traditional IRM and encryption solution offerings."
