Configuresoft CTO to Discuss Proactive IT Control and Security Strategies at Networld + Interop Panel

Dr. Dennis Moreau Will Present Enterprise Best Practices Around Enterprise Configuration Management to Reduce Risk

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 27, 2005 -- Configuresoft, the recognized leader in highly scalable enterprise policy compliance, configuration management, and security patch management technology, today announced Dr. Dennis Moreau, chief technology officer, will be participating on a panel at Networld + Interop, Las Vegas 2005. Dr. Moreau will discuss proactive security strategies including the best practices for patch, configuration and risk management.

Configuresoft will be exhibiting at Networld + Interop Booth #1004.

Spurred by IT security concerns, both the discipline and technology of patch management have evolved rapidly. Today, effective patch management processes and products can facilitate and partially automate efforts to push the latest patches, hot fixes and service packs throughout the enterprise IT infrastructure. However, to support compliance requirements, reduce risk and secure the IT environment, patch management must be coordinated with additional disciplines and technologies. Enterprise configuration management, as a means to enable vulnerability assessment, IT controls and remediation provides the missing link to the IT security puzzle.
