Confort Design Officially Launches All-New Line of Micro-Homes on Thursday, November 6!

The very first house with a completely factory-finished interior that can even be delivered fully furnished!

MIRABEL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 4, 2014) - On Thursday, November 6, Maisons Confort Design, leader in the construction of high-energy efficiency factory-built modular housing, will officially launch its all-new line of micro-homes. The launch will take place at the company's Mirabel point of sale (16320 Rang Saint-Dominique), where three micro-homes models will be on display. Members of the media are invited to come discover the model houses between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and to meet the company's management.

The new line of micro-homes will initially include five 384 sq. ft. (16' X 24') to 736 sq. ft. (16' X 46') models, starting at $58,900. For this new line of products, Confort Design is using only high-end materials such as the CanExel and stone exterior siding, hardwood floors, colored windows and zen mouldings, all combined with modern exterior designs.

The competitive advantage of the new line of micro-homes is that they are the first houses with interiors that are completely factory made, in Mascouche, which represents huge savings in time and money for consumers. At the time of delivery, finishing steps for the micro-homes, such as joints, paint, flooring and moulding are already done. Consumers can also choose to have the house delivered fully furnished and thus live in their home on delivery day! The houses undergo stringent production controls at the Mascouche factory and exceed building standards for construction techniques, such as R-31 insulation for the walls and R-50 for the roof.

"We would like to focus the sales model for this product on simplicity, accessibility and quality. Our completely factory-built houses give us a clear advantage on all three fronts," said Sylvain Nadeau, Maisons Confort Design's President and CEO.

Mr. Nadeau says there has been a very strong growing trend towards "small" and "more affordable" for several years. More and more retirees are going abroad for several months a year and want to spend less money on their Quebec residence. This makes micro-homes a great product for them. He also said it is an ideal product for people seeking an inexpensive secondary residence or for first-time buyers.

He added that sales from this new product are causing an increase in production and the creation of new jobs at the head office in Mascouche.

In the same vein, Maisons Confort Design has announced its partnership with Faubourg de la Seigneurie in Sainte-Béatrix, which will be the first integrated tiny house project in the Lanaudière region. The first micro-homes units will be built there this spring along the Assomption River.
