CONMED Corporation Comments on Voce Capital Press Release

UTICA, NY--(Marketwired - Feb 11, 2014) - CONMED Corporation (NASDAQ: CNMD) today issued a statement in response to a press release issued by Voce Capital Management LLC, which reportedly owns less than 1% of the outstanding shares of CONMED, announcing its nomination of four director candidates to stand for election to the CONMED Board of Directors at the Company's 2014 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. CONMED shareholders are not required to take any action at this time.

CONMED issued the following statement:

We will continue to take actions that we believe enable us to achieve this objective. Currently, we are successfully executing on our business strategy, which the Board believes is in the best interests of all shareholders.

The Company will present its recommendation with respect to the election of directors in its proxy statement to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
