Connected Things 2016: The Multi-Billion Dollar IoT Market Is Here, It's Real... and It's Spectacular

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwired - Mar 4, 2016) -  While much of the Internet of Things (IoT) discussion focuses on the possibilities of a future of connected devices, today's IoT marketplace is real, robust and worth billions of dollars for those involved.

On April 5, The MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge will convene Connected Things 2016, an annual conference focusing on what's real and happening today -- at scale -- with IoT. The half-day event will kick off at noon on the 6th floor at MIT Media Lab.

Connected Things 2016 has assembled leading innovators and market leaders to discuss the state of IoT as it is being deployed today in healthcare, smart cities, retail, manufacturing, transportation and logistics and other industries. Critical issues such as device security and media and marketing will also be addressed.

In a recent interview, Connected Things 2016 keynote speaker David Rose, author of Enchanted Objects, MIT Media Lab Scientist and Founder of Ditto Labs said, "Almost every category of company is thinking about, 'what does it mean to have a product connected to the Cloud? What new services or business models are possible?'"

The event's keynotes and breakout sessions will explore real-world examples of how IoT is transforming businesses and industry. Rose will deliver the opening keynote. Included among the roster of experts and influencers speaking are:
