Connectpoint PR Merges to Create Amaze PR

MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - June 12, 2008) - Connectpoint PR will merge with two other Hasgrove owned businesses, Amaze Europe and Pavilion to create a new marketing, PR and technology company - Amaze plc, with a combined turnover of close to Pounds Sterling 14m.

Part of the new brand, one of the top digital agencies in the UK, will be the newly created Amaze PR. With Connectpoint PR's 12 year track record it will continue to offer traditional consumer and corporate PR but, supported by the expertise from its two digital partners, Amaze PR will be able to accelerate its digital PR offering including online brand reputation.

Each of the businesses will rebrand simultaneously and will share head office premises in the centre of Manchester. The company also has offices in Liverpool, London and Brussels.

Speaking about the merger Connectpoint PR MD, Sandra McDowell, who becomes Partner in charge of Amaze PR comments: "Being part of Hasgrove for the last four years has provided us with many complementary skills from our sister agencies in PR and Public Affairs -Interel (Brussels) and Politics International (London). With the merger we now we have a great opportunity to add a greater depth to our digital offering.

The service offering of Amaze plc will extend from deep web-based business solutions, through to a full range of digital communications including online media buying and search marketing. Further products and services will be developed by the Amaze Innovation Team.

The new Amaze PR already boasts an impressive list of clients including, Northern Rail, First Bus, Fox's Confectionery, The Cooperative Group and the community consultation for the Transport Innovation Fund bid for Greater Manchester.

Connectpoint PR has been shortlisted as a finalist in the media relations category of the 2008 CIPR Excellence Awards with winners being announced on 15 September.
