2009 Is the Fourth Consecutive Year the Entrepreneur Is Being Honored

NASHVILLE, TN--(Marketwire - March 3, 2009) - Connie Elder, Founder and CEO of LIPO IN A BOX, the successful line of shapewear, will again be honored during International Women's Week. During a weeklong celebration March 2-8, 2009 Connie will join a select few other innovative women in being showcased by a leading shopping channel. Connie's two segments on the leading shopping channel during this week will salute her business and humanitarian achievements.

Elder, whose company produces popular body shapers, skincare, bras and various other products, is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in her field and a favorite of fashion editors. Since LIPO IN A BOX was launched in 2000, the brand of shapers has doubled or tripled sales in each of the last four years.

In addition to Elder, the weeklong tribute will feature renowned make-up artist Laura Geller, designer Kathleen Kirkwood, celebrity makeup artist Molly Roncal, designer Cherie Christmas, and award-winning jewelry designer Judith Ripka, among others.

Elder started LIPO IN A BOX as a single woman with a steadfast determination to create and expand her business while giving back to those in need along the way. While her company has surpassed the million dollar mark, she continues to support victims of domestic violence, breast cancer research, and serves on the board of directors for Soles4Souls Inc., the shoe charity.

Elder began her career 29 years ago in the field of medical compression garments -- mostly dominated by men.
