NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ--(Marketwired - Feb 19, 2014) - Connotate, Inc., the leading provider of Web data extraction and monitoring solutions, today released its 2013 results, which included a record increase of 25% in Total Contract Value (TCV), premier client wins and the successful deployment of its 4.0 release.
Connotate's technology employs patented science, including machine learning and visual abstraction techniques, which make it easy for non-programmers to build "agents" that gather data from websites in any language. Its platform can accommodate many thousands of agents gathering data from millions of pages. Specialized algorithms help ensure persistence -- that is, agents can continue to gather the right information even if the target website is changed or reformatted.
The company provides hosted as well as on-premise solutions. In addition, it offers data-as-a-service products, such as FetchCheck, which obtains, on demand, data from over 1,500 U.S. jurisdictions to support criminal background checks.
"We are the most scalable and persistent solution in web data extraction. Demand for our easy-to-use, easy-to-scale technology to extract web data is growing quickly, and that's reflected in the growth of our 2013 bookings," said Keith Cooper, CEO of Connotate. "Our customers are finding that incorporating web data significantly improves everything from competitive and market intelligence to lead generation and contact management and far beyond. They are locking in multi-year contracts with us now in order to ensure they continue to have the capability to bring this form of Big Data into their operations."
Key 2013 accomplishments also include:
- Release of Connotate's version 4.0, a highly specialized browser that "future-proofs" its platform. V 4.0 is being successfully used by Connotate's newest clients, including PracticeLink and SalesQuest (recently acquired by OneSource).
- Renewals of major multi-year deals: SJV & Associates, a global research firm and exclusive reseller of Connotate's automated solutions for background checks that provides high-quality, timely court records research for consumer reporting agencies and risk/loss management firms; Thomson Reuters, the world's leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals; and Dow Jones, one of the world's largest business and financial news companies.
- Launch of its newly designed website with versions on both desktop and mobile, which was a winner at MobileWebAward 2013.
