NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 15, 2011) - The Consortium for IT Software Quality (CISQ), the leadership group dedicated to providing metrics standards for measuring software quality and size, today announced the release of episode 9 of the "IT Software Quality Report" podcast series. In the Episode, host Dr. Bill Curtis sits down with Mitch Wein, SVP & Chief Technology Officer at AXA Equitable to discuss the importance of measuring and managing software quality in their critical IT systems.

In this episode, Bill Curtis and Mitch Wein discuss software quality and measurement for AXA Equitable internal systems and explain how software quality and function point analysis is truly an extension of strong people, process and technology. You will learn how AXA Equitable achieved goals they outlined for software quality without increasing cost. The podcast begins by discussing problems Mitch faced five years ago working with legacy systems, which caused them to have issues with code and ultimately prevented them from getting the productivity they needed and wanted. To meet these goals they evolved to a standard open reference architecture based on industry standards which allowed more flexibility and ease, resulting in a substantially lower cost of ownership.
