Constitution Mining Corp Updates GoldSands Test Production Site Work

LIMA, PERU--(Marketwire - March 29, 2011) - Constitution Mining Corp. (OTCBB:CMIN) is pleased to provide this update on the Test Production operation at its GoldSands properties.

As previously announced, Swiss Mining S.A. is set to begin a test-mining production operation on the Company's GoldSand's project, located in North-East Peru. Based upon the most recent information from the site, the following is in process or has already been undertaken:

  • Workers have opened a 2 kilometer corridor connecting the Maranon River to the production site at MIKA 2. This lane has already been used for transporting equipment to the site.

  • A Retro–excavator from Swiss Mining, capable of extracting 1 CM/bucket has arrived on site.

  • A second Retro-excavator, plus a Washing plant, is scheduled to arrive on site shortly.

  • A camp which will permanently support the test production operation and its 24 workers on both shifts is under construction.

Michael Stocker, Constitution Mining's CEO comments:

"Swiss S.A. Mining is moving with speed and diligence in order to establish the necessary infrastructure build-out and equipment platforms with which to carry out our GoldSands test production project in an efficient and timely manner. Based upon the information thus far received, we anticipate that alluvial gold extraction from the test production site will commence within this week. We eagerly await preliminary results from these efforts, and look forward to sharing them with the public and our shareholders when this information becomes available."

In addition, the Company would like to provide an update on its progress in strengthening the positive relationship it has established with the local population and governance.

On March 21, 2011, in the Commonwealth of Puerto Linda, a community-relations meeting took place attended by executives and native workers from Constitution Mining/The Stocker Group, as well as 50 leaders from nearby communities. In addition, the President of the Defense Front of Lapage Yurapaga, the former Mayor and Native leaders with the APU (Chief of Community) were also in attendance.

After extensive conversations during the meeting, and with the support of the authorities, the entrance of the company to start test production was unanimously approved by all members, thus ensuring the community's full support during Constitution Mining's efforts to implement the project. The community will assign members to participate in the guardianship of the base camp and the Company's equipment in Saramiriza.

Constitution Mining Chairman, Pat Gorman states:

"Once again by its actions, our company has demonstrated that it is fully committed to aligning its corporate goals and practices with the best interest of the local inhabitants, as we work towards an equitable and sustainable economic outcome. We believe this will not only be in the best interests of our company and its shareholders, but of significant benefit to the surrounding communities as well."

About Constitution Mining Corp. (OTCBB:CMIN)

The Company's goal is to locate large-scale commercially viable gold deposits and continuously increase the amount of gold underlying its outstanding shares. The Company is interested primarily in geographical areas that are home to several significant proven gold deposits, including highly prospective districts likely to hold further large deposits.

The Gold Sands project in Peru consists of options on 461 square kilometers (178 square miles) of mining property, the largest such block in the district. These Gold Sands were laid down by eons of alluvial erosion. For millions of years, the waters of the Santiago and the Maranon rivers have been carving their way through the gold-rich mountain canyons of the Andes, carrying off vast amounts of gold and depositing it in the loose gravels and sands - Gold Sands - in the area the Company now controls.

Results from test holes drilled during CMIN's 26-hole Phase I exploratory drill program indicate the presence of significant alluvial gold. The Company has also completed its Phase II drill program focused on grid drilling a 2.5 square kilometer region. While the results from both the Phase I drill program and the Phase II, 100-hole drill program are highly favorable, the Company cautions that these results do not yet indicate the presence of a commercially viable mineral deposit and further exploration is needed to determine the full feasibility of the project. Currently, the company has signed an agreement to begin a test mining production program within a 2.5 square kilometer area of the recent 100-hole drill program.

The full implementation of these programs will require the Company to secure additional financing.
